I am planning a trip to the beach and will not have my Home Patrol by then so I am wanting to program NCSHP in my 396T. I am somewhat knowledgeable when it comes to programming the scanner since I have already programmed all of wake/orange/some other stuff in it. My problem is I don't know if I need to program diffrent control channels for each county I go through or if the HP have something universal for the entire state. I have searched for my answer but have not had any luck. If you do have an answer for me (most likely Marshall) please dumb it down for me so I can get this done.

Thanks in advance

Program the additional control channels into the system if you want to monitor VIPER. Program the lowband channels and if you're in range it'll pick up.

You will probably hear most activity on VIPER, you wont hear much on lowband, dont know if it will be worth your while programming them in.
