Looking for input on a utility system out of Madison County.
KIB570, emissions designator has it listed as DMR.
5 sites listed as repeaters S002 Frank Rector Road Marshall 153.5750
S003 Hwy. 213 Marshall 153.0500
S005 Bald Mtn. Mars Hill 151.5500 159.5850 159.9450
S007 Cell Tower Hwy. 213 153.0500 160.1400
S009 Rich Mtn. Hot Springs 152.3150
I am running this on 2 radios, my TRX 2 as a generic DMR system, non-trunking. No indication available as to which type of DMR system.
On my BCD 536 I have the system built as a DMR Trunked system.
Results on the TRX2 are as follows; this system has very minimal activity. On 05/24/18, from 0830 in the morning there were four conversations caught on the TRX 2, at 0855, 1256, 2006, and 2016. This is clearly an electric utility based on listening to them. Activity was listed on sites 005, 007, and 009. All were listed as Talk Group 3, Slot 2, and C.C. 1.
Results on the BCD 536 are not good. Because there were only four conversations the entire day, I was not able to be sitting in front of the 536 display to observe what type of DMR was being transmitted, I missed them all, so I do not know if is it a formal trunked system, CAP, CON, or simply a One Frequency system. I have run the only two sites that I can receive a control channel signal from, 005, and 009, in the LCN Finder since yesterday, nothing, nada. I want to conclude based on everything I have gathered that this is a One Frequency DMR system, but, at this point I need more information. Anyone out there have more input?? Thank you for your time. I would add, I also have a separate conventional system built to run the generic frequencies and determine a DMR indicator........
