I bought this scanner back in February of this year and downloaded the frequency database with Sentinel. It was working great on NC VIPER could listen in all the Tact channels,EMS to hospital mediflight. The scanner started not charging the batteries, it was under warranty so I sent it back. I got the new one downloaded frequency database with Sentinel and now I only hear the main channels for Police,EMS,Fire, when they say use Tact channels I hear nothing but the channels show up if I manual lock them, but nothing to hear. Have they changed the frequency? I just updated the frequency database last week, but have been using the scanner for three weeks.

They're probably encrypted and you won't hear them. You can check in the data base.

Double check and make sure you have all the service types enabled you want to listen to.

Especially the 'Multi-Tac' service type. I don't see any mention of encryption in the database.

Please don't give errant information that could cause confusion.
As others have mentioned check the service types in Sentinel and make sure they
are selected.
