News media has announced President Trump will be visiting areas effected by Hurricane Florence. No details of the visit are available, no TFRs have been posted.

There's a TFR in the New Bern area from 10A to 2P, local time, for VIP movement. It extends out to Washington (NC) to the north, Kinston to the west, and Richlands (Onslow County) to the south.

i never have gotten a handle on how some of these platforms' quirks work. real time i was watching he path descending into clt but looking at the daily flight log/plotting showed it roughly at newport news like you said. wasn't quick enough to double check for fr24

Unfortunately, here in Raleigh, I haven't heard a peep on Viper or usss channels about this visit.

POTUS Motorcade Communications
I was on US 70 yesterday in New Bern had cameras and scanners. At about 1015 I heard Air Force One checking in with Washington Center on 135.5
I heard what I believe was SS car to car traffic just before the motorcade passed my location at 12:45pm on 167.0375 a female voice stated keep up with the NCHP they have coordinated a clear run back to Cherry. That was the only frequency I heard anything on other than the Viper but that was the NCHP and Craven County Sheriff's office. Also New Bern a lot of traffic setting up routes and blocking roads on their system.

nice catch to say the least! freqs and pics? and good ones at that? seriously nice job.
was it just chance or had you already figured out how to be at the right place at the right time? either way its a good thing you ain't a terr... ya know what i mean? planned or just a chance situation you are quick draw mcgraw. i know you were using a zoom lens but i am guessing still less than 100ft from the roadway?
also was the tx P25 / $167 i presume?

I knew he was coming due to N1GAW's post earlier on this board. Loaded all the frequencies in my scanners along with the camera. I work in the area a lot but just happen to be in the right spot on US 70 at that time. I was about 100 feet you're right I did not have to zoom in really. I can see his shadow waving in the window but it was impossible to get a picture of him moving like that. I was surprised how fast they were going. The P 25 information is correct.
