Heads up for everyone:

I have info that Mt. St. Joe Police and Cincinnati State Tech Police will be sharing Mt. St. Joe's talkgroup. The TGID is 281. I believe this started as of this past Monday.

Mt. St. Joe Police use callsign 7M##
Cincinnati State Police use callsign 7A##

Now is this talkgroup primarily going to be used by Cincinnati State for interop mutual aid if something happened on or surrounding the Campus?

The way I understand it, Cincinnati State will be using it for day-to-day operations. Mt. St. Joe rarely uses their talkgroup so they have allowed Cincinnat State to use it, but Mt. St. Joe has retained "ownership" (if you want to call it that) of the talkgroup.

Then why did they spend the money on there Moto Trbo digital radio system if the campus police are going to use Mt St Joe's talkgroup?

In a way it makes sense but in another way it doesn't.

Um, you mean TG 272?

281 is not a talkgroup
