I noticed that the REACT channels used in Coshocton are not in the DB. I am on this REACT team, and would like to supply these frequencies for use!

--REACT Ch. 1 - 462.65 (GMRS Channel 19)
-Used for simplex car-to-car while on-scene.

--REACT Ch. 2 - 467.65 (FRS Channel 12*)
-Used for dispatching from the CCSO, and repeats back to Ch. 1. (If you're far away from another member, and they can't hear you simplex, you use Ch. 2 so that it gets boosted from the repeater, which is located at the Sheriff's Office.)

*What's strange about Channel 2 is that it does not actually fit into the FRS frequency chart. FRS channel 11 is 467.6375 and FRS channel 12 is 467.6625. So, we use a somewhat private frequency that is between these, as to avoid unwanted interference, I would assume. Thought it was interesting and worth noting.

Sean, thanks for providing us with information to update the database.
We do appreciate it. However, this is not the proper way to submit info
to be included into t he database. The proper way is to navigate to the
county page where the information is to be included and click on the "submit"
tab. Then post the information in the space provided. That way one of the database
administrators can take proper care of your submission. Please read the
"Submission Guidelines" for the best way to provide us with your information.

Thanks,
Mark

And of course, use of 467.650 for any other use than repeater input (no, it's not an FRS channel, it's a GMRS input only channel) is a big no-no. Simplex on repeater inputs is specifically prohibited in the GMRS service.

I'm not at all versed in GMRS / FRS rules. I just follow what the licensee tells us to do (our Treasurer). KAF3122 is our license.

You're saying that 467.65 is actually a designated frequency, reserved for repeater use? I was not aware!

Thanks for the information, I will submit this the correct way--I've never done it before! Live and learn, eh?

After reviewing some online text, I ran into this:

95.29 Channels available.

(a) For a base station, fixed station, mobile station, or repeater station (a GMRS station that simultaneously retransmits the transmission of another GMRS station on a different channel or channels), the licensee of the GMRS system must select the transmitting channels or channel pairs (see para. 95.7(a) of this part) for the stations in the GMRS system from the following 462 MHz channels:

462.550, 462.5750, 462.6000, 462.6250, 462.6500, 462.6750, 462.7000 and 462.7250.

(b) For a mobile station, control station, or fixed station operated in the duplex mode, the following 467 MHz channels may be used only to transmit communications through a repeater station and for remotely controlling a repeater station. The licensee of the GMRS system must select the transmitting channels or channel pairs (see para. 95.7(a) of this part) for the stations operated in the duplex mode, from the following 467 MHz channels:

467.5500, 467.5750, 467.6000, 467.6250, 467.6500, 467.6750, 467.7000, and 467.7250.

COOL!
