Due to the large number of HEMS crashes in the last few years, most of the large programs and others also have gone to a standard set of guidlines. The PIC must make and adjust his assesment of the flight status risk and report it according to the accepted guidelines.

Thanks for the reply. Is there a link somewhere that gives what each number means. I heard them flying into Newark lastnight and he said risk assessment of plus 8, normally I have heard risk assessment of 6 or something like that.
