If you're driving, I'm assuming you'll come down from the Niagara Falls area and across I-90 to Cleveland then down I-71 to Columbus, and I-70 west to Dayton.

If so, you'll want to program in Ohio MARCS Zones 1 and 2, and leave it in search mode so you'll hear everything. That will give you a pretty good amount of stuff to hear.

If you're really gung-ho, program the Lake County, Delaware County and Franklin County Public Safety trunked systems in so you can hear that activity as you zing through. For other areas, searching the normal fire and police frequency ranges will also net a lot of activity.

For the Dayton area, the City of Dayton and Montgomery County trunked systems should do it. Also put in the Dayton Ohio MARCS site. You might also put the Wright-Patterson AFB system in if you plan to visit there (highly recommended) before returning home.

If you're flying in to Dayton, the City of Dayton, Montgomery County and Ohio MARCS (Dayton site) trunked systems should do it.

If you get a hankering, stop by the All Ohio Scanner Club booth #435 (just down the aisle from ARRL).

I can send you a file with Franklin County and public safety, I use BCtool and can send it as a bctool file or a .csv. Just PM me if interested.

If your using the import from the membership here and your brave, you could always just import all of the Marcs sites, LOL.
