I see that Paulding County has been issued a license to construct and operate a VHF-High band TRS. The callsign is WQDI283, and it was issued on 09/01/2005. According to the application that was filled and eventually approved by the FCC, this radio system is supposed to be used by various Paulding County Government Agencies. Is this system online at this time?

The assigned output frequencies are:

155.0025
155.6925
159.1350

73s

This system is active. The license lists the county EMA director as the contact. The system IDs with the callsign on each frequency several times per hour. Likely an LTR system due to lack of a control channel and occasional squelch breaks. I listened in conventional mode this afternoon and heard one voice comm that sounded like the county dispatcher, but didn't catch the traffic. It was not SO traffic though.
