Does anyone have or remember the frequency that was used by the ohio turnpike . It is not on the marcs system. But at certain times of the day they would announce there weather at their location. Is this still in use ? What is the frequency and at what times do they announce the weather ?

That was probably ODOT that did that. I use to hear them way back in the day announcing road conditions from the district HQs. That went away when they left VHF low band.

Turnpike Maintenance Channels

After normal hours Berea has a roll call on the 1/2 hour.
I think you are asking about the old VHF maintenance channels, 159.165 158.985
As far as I know, the VHF network has been turned off, and OTC maintenance and the OHP is now on MARCS. They still do the roll call on MARC's.
I suggest that.

VHF was way better than marcs in my opinion.
