Default Ohio MARCS IP

I'm unable to hear Wooster and Orrville Police Department on that system and if anybody knows what's going on let me know

You should post in the proper thread.

https://forums.radioreference.com/oh...iscussion.html

Make sure you have TG 49518 programmed in and not locked out, and that you are monitoring all of the Wayne Co sites.

Perhaps they could have gone encrypted, but if they did there haven't been any reports yet.

Mike

If you are in Barberton - would Wooster be on whatever site you are monitoring?

Just curious as it seems a stretch.

Wooster and Orrville would surely be using the Wooster site (2-041). I would say you are way out of range.

MARCS is not like the old days of VHF and low band where you could hear agencies 50 miles away, it is very localized.

After reading this thread I put in some Wayne Co TGs just for grins and got two hits today on TG 94520 and RID 8590802. Didn't hear who. Just logged.

Like I said you are too far away.

The link below shows the Wooster site range of 15 miles:

Try programming the Summit County sites (Nimisila and Akron) with the Wayne County Talkgroups.

You should be able to receive both sites in Barberton.

I've had many Wayne County T/G hits off both Summit County sites.
