I have recently come into possession of a GRE PSR-600,
that was at one time in the "radio room"
of a fire chaser that has gone out of business.
From where I am in Twinsburg I can hear both the Cleveland system and Marcs IP system.
Being that I grew up in Euclid I would like to listen to Euclid Police and fire as well as Cleveland Fire.
They are currently programmed, but I don't remember how I did it.
I would also like to listen to Northern Summit county ( Twinsburg, Reminderville, Hudson and Macedonia)
and possibly the Summit SO that patrols Twinsburg township and Northfield ? do they have their own TG.
I need to get my fingers into it to remember how I did things, any "pointers" ?

Thanks,
Don K8ZGW

All that you want to listen to is possible with your 600. listen to all those on my 500.

Euclid Police is on the Cleveland GCRCN System.
Euclid Fire is om MARCS-IP and Dispatched through Chagrin Valley Dispatch.
Summit County is currently in the process of transitioning from their 800 System to their P-25 system. Twinsburg/ Reminderville share Talkgroups. They currently still transmit on the 800 system and test on the P25 System.
Hudson Police is now on the P25 system
Hudson Fire is still on Conventional but is going to move to the P25 System.

You need to lookup all these talkgroups and frequencies up on the various databases on Radio Referennce for the various communities.

If you do not use one of the 3 available softwares available for programming your 600 I would highly recommend you use one of them. They all offer free 30 day trial periods. They are WIN500; PSREdit500; ARC500.

Sorry Mike, your right, I must have missed the no cross posting notice.
As a matter of fact, I still don't see it, if I had, I would not have cross posted.

Thanks
