Yes thanks Tom. I'm open for July 14th if there's no objections?

If it works for you, go for it. However, that's the day of the MONIX summer picnic at Wax Park in Moraine, so I'll be there hobnobbing with the SW Ohio guys.

Hopefully the poo plant nearby won't be as ripe as it was last year; makes the bratwurst and picnic grub taste funny. . .

AOSC (All Ohio Scanner Club) back in the day would reserve a shelter at High Banks Metro Park or camp out in the morning to claim an open shelter. We held a few get togethers/picnics there over the years. Convenient access to Polaris as well as the I270/N23 interchange and now only miles from the new Universal Radio location.

The CORSG acronym is very similar to CORGS - Central Ohio Retro Gaming Society (been established for 10+ years). corgs-con.webs.com.

Looking forward to this gathering.

I'd like to attend but, oh well.

A lot of former AOSC members migrated to MONIX, but then AOSC always did have a pretty heavy membership base in Western and SW Ohio.

The MONIX picnic has been an annual shindig as long as I can remember. Everybody brings something (chips, cookies, cupcakes, buns, condiments, potato salad, etc) and the meat is provided as someone's contribution.

Generally a pretty fun day as long as the weather cooperates (and the wind isn't blowing the scent of the poo plant in that direction).

Just a reminder, we are going to have a gathering the afternoon of Saturday July 14th. A possible site in Columbus has been scheduled but it is unconfirmed at this point. As a backup plan, does anyone have a suggestion or two for a gathering spot? Maybe a ham club house?

Yes, we'll try to accomodate as many as possible. As we progress, we'll try to meet as we get feedback from the group.

Jason and Rick, thanks again for all your help today with programming. Very helpful and informative meeting. Had great reception on the way home in my car (I was actually hearing so much traffic I had to temporarily avoid some talkgroups), but inside my house here in Hilliard, not so good. At least I know my scanner can receive CPD and I can again listen to my son!
