Later this week, I’m going to travel to OKC from Kansas on I-35. I want to listen to OHP only.

However, I’m confused, as to want to put in my scanner.

I know I’m going to be in Troop A and Troop J area.

Should I just put the Low Band frequencies and others listed for the Troops?

OKWIN only?

Or both?

Any suggestion would be welcome.

You'll actually be going through troops A and K. I' d put in both OKWIN and low band frequencies. I believe they also have some simplex 800 channels they use as well as Car to Car.

Troopers also have radios in their cars to contact local and county law enforcement agencies in their area. You might consider also having those loaded in your scanner. Specifics, from north to south: Kay County - still VHF; Noble County - VHF; Payne County - VHF; Logan County - OKWIN; Oklahoma County - county & city have links on OKWIN.
