I printed off all of the OPP codes the other day from this site and I started listening and looking up the numbers, the problem is, some are way off. The OPP ran a guy I know the other day and his record said that he has a 302 and other ones but a 302 is murder 1st degree. Those ones are wrong. Does anybody know of a more accurate list or can some one clarify what a 302 is? Any help would be appreciated.

It does, I printed out the codes from the Ontario Wiki and the codes you have are completely different then the ones that I have. We should try to correct the Wiki with proper information. Do you know where I could download a full list? Like what if I wanted to know what a 310 was? Thanks for the quick reply.

Does anybody know of a more accurate list or can some one clarify what a 302 is?

302. (1) Every one commits an offence who, with intent
(a) to extort money from any person, or
(b) to induce a person to confer on or procure for another person an appointment or office of profit or trust,

if someoen has a list of the CNI codes rather than just the condenced versions that would be nice.

so that for example

302. (1) Every one commits an offence who, with intent
(a) to extort money from any person, or
(b) to induce a person to confer on or procure for another person an appointment or office of profit or trust,

would become

302 - extortion

often you hear the general area but sometimes you will hear the exact cni specifics such as the 302 example above,

There is no question that 27 is license. You hear dozens of times a day "Valid 27, class Gulf-Mike", or different variations.

10-27 is a drivers license check. 10-28 is a registration check on a license PLATE and a 10-29 is a check on a person for wants or warrants. That's the facts.

The correct phonetic for the letter "G" is "Golf", not "Gulf". So what davidmc36 was actually hearing, should have been "Valid 27, class Golf-Mike", Of course the user could have been saying it incorrectly. It's correct in the long posting from martyjess on 11-21-2010, 03:02 PM under "Phonetics"

But the rest is correct, 27 = licence check, 28 = marker (vehicle plate) check, 29 = check for wanted. Some seem to be used very loosly, here in Zone 2 anyway. i.e. "21" is anything to do with tetephones, as in "My cell 21 number is . . . . ."
