I am hearing an automotive manufacturing facility using 451.1875 here in Toronto. Looking in TAFL, the possibilities are the Toyota plant in Elmira or the Honda plant in Alliston.

Any ideas on who is the user of 451.1875 - 662 DPL?

This is a popular low-power simplex and repeater frequency with 375 listings
for Ontario, quite a few of those in Southern Ontario.

TAFL shows the Honda listing with TX ERP -13.3dBw which is about .05W
so I doubt you'd hear it from any distance. The TX power is 7dBw, so there's
a 20dB loss in the antenna system; leaky coax or some other in-building
setup.

The Toyota listing shows TX power 6dBw (4W) but not ERP, so not sure
about that one.

I'll give a listen up here. Should be able to rule out Honda pretty quick.

Conversations mention the "battery room" , "brake pads" etc..

May also be some auto supply warehouse in or around Toronto.

I'll keep checking.

Sounds like it could be an auto service shop or parts warehouse.

I don't see Castle Honda listed under this frequency, but there
are odd cases where users don't show up in TAFL though they are
not in the "super-secret" category; not sure why.

I used to try to identify TGs on trunked systems by recoding a day
or so of time-compressed activity using Scan Rec. Even so, it was
difficult to positively ID many of them as the clues as to identity were
usually vague; sometimes stated locations helped, but few companies
use their name on the air. Because of the shelf life of some of these
IDs and time/effort I mostly stopped doing this, with the odd exception.

I believe the HP-1 records voice, and possibly some others; ScanRec
is free but needs a computer running.

Honda Alliston uses iDen.

The warehouse operation uses 4 watt portable uhf analog but you will not hear it that far.

I'd keep a listen on their old UHF frequencies. I've heard they've started work cleaning up the old systems and will be converting to TRBO at some point.
