Without getting into the encryption end of it, some simple questions ( no definative answers in other posts that I can see..... )

As of this date for the Peel P25 system,

1 - Peel police divisional dispatching is not encrypted - yes or no?
2 - Will the Uniden Homepatrol work for those freqs.?

Just downloaded latest database from RR - Radio pauses, no audio......

Anything to expand on answers appricated

Thanks

The Home Patrol will indeed stop on a talkgroup that is encrypted but you will not hear the audio as it is unscannable. I see this all the time on the P25 Halton system. Talkgroups like 100, 200, 300, are probably the police. With older scanners, if you dont lock out these talkroups you will hear the grinding sound that is encrypted audio.

The HomePatrol will work on the NON Phase 2 non-encrypted talkgroups....
If the talkgroups are Phase 2 then you need one of the new Unidens 436HP or 536HP

Peel police all even dispatch gone ENC home patrol should still work on non ENC talk groups basic city talk groups
