Ottawa P25 Site Locations

Does anyone know the exact locations of Site 1 and 2?

So, 111 people don't know or are not saying. For P25 system I don't know either. For security reasons, exact locations may not be a good idea. If you just want an approximate location to point a directional antenna for better reception, just about anyone could track CC signal strength to approximate transmit locations.

Not sure if the P25 sites are the same as EDACS (doubt it). EDACS System 1 has a main site in the Hog's Back area. Also believe there's something in downtown core.

Thing is, there are numerous others including remote receivers, heard some number like 17 or 23 total
or some such number, awhile back.

Not sure if P25 uses any simulcast which would be multiple TX sites.

Well I don't know.
Sit 2 comes in fine but site 1 I cannot really receive at all.
I am near near 417 and exit 96

Should we know? Go for a drive with no antenna. Being continuous, control channel transmitters are easy to find.

site 2 = northwest of Carp Rd and Kinburn sideroad intersection. I can confirm as I did the scanner with no antenna trick a while back.

Site 1 is the West site. Site 2 is downtown/east/south.

Isn't there a site at the North gower - tower. Just west
Of highway 416

Ya I was gonna say. Cause whenever I do get a chance to listen from the west. Its definitely site 1 I'm hearing and not 2.

Besides. Why would the west tower have more frequencies than the other tower.
