I havent herd county drop tones on the 154.37 frequency for Norristown. they're only dispatching on the 800. Are they not using the Minitor channel anymore?

I heard dispatches on it a couple of days ago. Either they are having technical problems, or they did away with it. Keep an ear on the 158.??? frequency for any station 27 dispatches. They may have moved over like everyone else is...

As far as I know they still are for both 27 and 46 on 154.370 however without out of town assistance, every once in awhile I will hear 27 and 46 calls verbally said on 158.355 without tones and no special message, just their call. They are coincidenially the last 2 fire companies in the county minus Lower Merion to switch over which also to the best of my knowledge hasn't happened yet and I can't speak to the planning around them moving over. Hope that helps you

There are no new fcc licensed frequencies for either the county or the borough recently and have not heard 27 or 46 mentioned at all today on 158.355, I'm sure Norristown between the two of them is good for one call a day but heard neither. Anyone know of 27 or 46's current plans for switching channels?

I heard 27 dispatched on a "standby at an accident" run about 5 minutes ago on their dispatch channel (154.370). Signal was very clear here in Northeast Philly.

Is it possible that they changed their CTCSS/DCS recently? If they did, and you haven't changed it in your scanner, you won't hear anything. Just throwing an idea out there for you.

My radio is programmed with the 136.5 PL, otherwise I pickup FDNY Brooklyn dispatch. Like I said, I clearly heard the call with tones on the frequency. I would suggest that you recheck your settings or antenna.
