I am willing to bet the KZA495 analog system will be depreciated and eventually go away for the newer WQVG886 DMR system that appears they are working toward. I am not close enough to CDSD to monitor their systems.

Were already aware of it. They have 1 tg used as district wide admin. The rest of school coms are still conventional analog. We have been monitoring this for 2 years.

Half those frequencies are the inputs to the repeaters and are not needed.

Ive been getting hits on TGs 1, 5, 6, 7, and 8. But none of the talkgroups are nearly as active as 8 which I hear get used during bomb threats and football games. I was inside CD (my Alma mater) this spring and all the principals have xpr7550s and 3550s but the janitorial staff still have their old Kenwood analog units. This suggests to me that the district still operates primarily on analog simplex until an event requires wider area communication on TG8. Also, bus ops are still on the ancient 461.300 repeater atop blue mountain parkway.
