The truck in my previous http://forums.radioreference.com/pi...setup/210293-my-2008-f-350-mobile-office.html install photos is no more. I developed some major engine issues (and has since gone to aution) and has been replaced by a 2011 version (Gas not Diesel this time) and today I installed my FT-8800r and TK-760h. The antennas (Elevated feed 800MHz and Vhf) were installed by who ever does our companies vehicals, I replaced the PCTEL 1/2wave with my Larsen NMO2/70 (I asked the installer to put the 'VHF' antenna in the middle of the roof. LoL). As soon as i took delivery of the truck Iswapped the 1/2wave with the dual band. At some point I will get a 'L' (but not an L cause the hood seam is horizontal) for the commercial radio. The Motorola M800 is the same as in the other thread, and I liked the 8800 faceplate there so much I kept it there in this truck too. The APRS mess is an OT3m, RF is a VX-170 that is attached to the 1/4wave magmount on the driverside rear of the roof. GPS is provided by the Garmin Nuvi 350. The mess needs to be cleaned up at some point but i first need to figure cabling for power. The serial cable goes under the drivers seat and up and over the door in the mounding. The external speaker cable goes up the back passenger door moulding with all extra cable hidden in the moulding.
