I was out doing some training with our comm trailer yesterday and thought I would upload a couple pics.

The trailer has a comms room and a command post room.
On-board Cat diesel 12 KW generator.
2 dispatch positions.

3 M/A-COM 800 MHz radios
3 Tait VHF radios
1 Tait UHF radio
1 Motorola 700MHZ radio
800 MHZ repeater
Pneumatic mast.

We tow it with a Ford F-350 one ton dually with a V-10.

Nice! I've always liked seeing mobile command post type setups. Looks well done. Thanks for showing it to us!

Very nice!! I love the look of a "comm trailer." Saw something similar to this when I went to the Porter County Fair last month. Didn't think to take pictures though.

So unfair! I want one of these for Christmas!

The heck with Christmas. My birthday is coming up next week; I want one for my bday!! LOL!! :D

Here is the tow vehicle.
2005 Ford 1 ton dually, V-10.

The trailer gets used very infrequently, but I keep it ready.

How are the mobile radios connected/controlled by the computer? Just out of curiosity.

They are connected through the Telex IP-223 boxes to the computer, which runs the C-Soft program for dispatching, patching etc..

Nice pics. A V-10! Yikes pulling that trailer you must have to stop at every gas station you go by. :) Nice set up though!

Ha! Well I haven't checked this one but I have personal experience with the V-10 and they do get a bit thirsty!
I used to have a 2005 Excursion and it did about 13MPG in town but I used it mainly to pull my travel trailer, where it got about 10 MPG.

I now have a 32 foot motor home which gets about 8MPG.

I tend to just ignore the whole mileage thing.
