Default Updated shack nyc

This is my updated desk shack.

A Motorola CDM1550LS+ UHF monitoring Queens, NYC
And just picked up today -
A Motorola XTL2500 UHF to replace the CDM

The XTL needs a new codeplug, so I am working on that. I ordered the new power accessories connector to power the XTL via a Astron continuous duty power supply.
So now its all about the programming if I can find it!

Nice pair of radios. Motorola software will be on your businessonline.motorolasolutions.com account.

I need to make a new codeplug for the XTL and completely wipe it and start over.

Is it particularly hard to make a new codeplug? Ive done it with an XTS5000 but that was years ago. Its gonna be a great receiver.

This is not the forum to discuss software ethics, let's stay on the topic of our shack photos please.

The XLT programming is very similar to your XTS portable. If you can handle the XTS you will have no problems with the XTL.

4-19-18. Updated the desk and cleaned it up. I need to invest into a bigger power supply to run the XTL2500 and the CDM1550LS+ on 1 power

All radios are RX only. The mic just makes it look cool. I have a Motorola MC65 Im still trying to figure out how to make it into a mapping device.

I am interested in that Vivitar lens cap on the Canon. Do you really have a Vivitar lens on there?

Looks good. RX only radios don't draw that much current. What is your power supply rated for? You might not need a new one.

Its 15A. I tried to hook up both radios but neither powered up. Only 1 will power up at a time.

Odd, that shouldn't be an issue. How did you hook them up?

Both to the 2 hardwires that come out of the power supply.

I have a small one ran from the power supply to a powerpoles distribution block and then 3 radios (rx only) connected to that - no issues. For rx only I'm with KG4INW - you shouldn't have any issues.
