If I was a radio that's what I'd want to look like hi hi.

A work of radio art, congratulations and enjoy.

I've got the 990S also. A great radio. You almost need a hoist to get it up on the desk, correct? I really like how you can shape the RX and TX audio. I have been able to tweak the filters to pull out tiny signals in a ton of noise. Take your time and learn because it is well worth it.

I purchased a wireless keyboard for PSK and a large display model to better see the waterfall. It is so darn easy to use this radio.

BTW - if you have the ability, get yourself the separate matching speaker. It makes a world of difference.

Have fun and enjoy!

Thank you RB I was thinking about the speaker and a monitor to put on top of the rig(seems sturdy enough) As far as shaping the RX and TX I suppose your talking about customizing the equalizers and combining filters as well? I would imagine that will take me some time. Question how do I hear my TX I have to record it then play it back?

I'm sorry this was the pic I wanted to add! Picked up the SP-990 speaker and hooked a DVI LCD monitor to the rig.

Michael,
Depending on where your radio picks off the audio you can use the radioís monitor function. On high end radio it should be at the end of the audio chain. My Elecraft K3 has that capability, but I have found a second receiver with a flat audio band pass works better. Something like a KX3 works nicely. I think you see what Iíve done there.

Holy crap! My SX-88 weighs only 19lbs. more than yours and mine's nothing but metal.
That new rig of yours has to be Kenwood's Flagship rig at almost $7000. It is really gorgeous and fancy too
