I do believe that the Flight Engineer's panel on the C-130 Hercules is less complicated! :)

Congratulations on the birth of your new Toy... ;)

I am unable to discern if that is Hogan's Heroes or Bonanza. That TV screen has a terrible picture!

Joking aside, I am very curious about the upcoming Kenwood HF radio that will be announced at Hamvention in about a week. I am equally curious about the results Sherwood will later post about it.

Thanks everyone now comes the learning curve...tonight I’m bringing the two manuals to work and read them in their entirety. Yesterday was just power her up and she how she sounds and transmits. I was pleased to discover that my rig control settings in my AC Log worked flawlessly with this radio. If any 990 owners discover this thread feel free to contact me because I have much to learn here!

Good eye Ritchie!! Actually I bought that Pro 2022 years ago for Grandma so when she passed this February,I grabbed and took it here. I programmed a ton of low band Red Cross Skywarn stuff in it. After all these years it still runs like a champ! That was Uniden that made them for Radio Shack under the Realistic name I think?😊

A 2022, that's right, from a distance it looks like a 2005 or 6 but I didn't notice the lack of the 2 push-switches..

The 2022 was actually made by GRE for RadioShack. Uniden did make some scanners for RS but these were not.

I find that to be an interesting statement! Here's hoping you aren't an air traffic controller or something.

Great acquisition. Radios as radios should be. Enjoy it to its fullest.

No not a air traffic controller. On my down time
In between readings and equipment tours I read. I sit in a control room in front of three computer monitors. When the plant is stable I do that but when stygoes sideways...well then I run and climb.😊
