MOSWIN programming

Hello all, I apologize in advance for asking a question that's probably already been covered on this site somewhere, but here goes: I am running a Uniden BC796D with MOSWIN frequencies programmed as conventional frequencies, which seems to work pretty well most of the time. However, I am unable to isolate agencies such as Gasconade County from others such as MO Highway Patrol and am wondering if there is a way to do that by programming them as trunked frequencies instead of conventional? Also, where can I find a listing of the various talkgroups, etc.?
I am northwest of St. Louis and St. Charles Counties in Missouri, jn Lincoln County.
I am asking because I have very limited experience in programming trunked systems and less in programming P25 systems.
Thanks for any help!

During my research for the band plans for various older radios, I ran across conflicting reports about the BC796D. Some reports say these radios won't do VHF/UHF P25. Others report that you need a band plan. Still other reports say it works fine without a band plan.

In the feed notes for the MSHP Troop F - MOSWIN feed, I noticed the radio being used to provide that feed is a BC796D, so that pretty much tells me that it will work.

I seem to remember someone saying that the software to program these radios was never upgraded to match the latest firmware release, therefore programming had do be done via the keypad on the radio.

If you don't get an answer here, you may want to contact that feed broadcaster.

Okay, thanks for the info.
It definitely will work to receive and the audio sounds good so I will check into the band plan info and see what I can find. I suppose with the 996 everything is programmable from a computer, I just haven't upgraded yet.
Thanks again, I just wanted to see if it was possible before I put too much time and trouble into it!

They need a new tower site in the bottom southwest corner of the Bootheel. Dunklin County's deputies have to switch over to the County's South tower in order to talk out of there. MOSWIN is all garbled when they try to use it down around Red Onion which is right on the state line
