Last night when I went to bed, I found that KEC63 is now back online. Let's keep our fingers crossed that the problems at the transmitter site have been corrected. Transmitter sounds loud and clear with no radio station RFI in the background.

noaa weather radio station kig-74...broadcasting on a frequency of
162.55 mhz and serving eastern upper peninsula...whitefish bay...the
saint marys river system...and the nearshore waters of northern lake
huron...is experiencing problems. Technicians are currently
investigating the problem.

Last night at 10:54 p.m. I was listening to KEC63 on my Midland receiver, and the audio was interrupted by a loud tone, which lasted for several seconds and the audio went dead. Then 30 seconds later on the transmitter went off the air, and has not been on since then. This morning they are still off the air.
