WS1088 USB Power source options

I noticed today that when my WS-1088 is plugged into some USB power sources (particularly relatively cheap DC lighter plugs) that my reception quality is significantly affected as if I have the attenuator set to on. Can anybody recommend a decent quality DC USB power source that has worked well for anybody else?

I plug mine directly into the trucks usb port and have no problems. Use a Larson 801 antenna when traveling and a Radio Shack 800 when at home where most traffic is 800 truncked

any lighter socket adapter that can run an Ipad ( 2amps) will be the best way to filter out the junk.

I use a discontinued RadioShack CLA, but this one should be close enough.
