Pro-18: Thank you and some guidance please

Thank you to those that sent links and offers to provide the 3.8 bin file, conversion is complete and listening to P25P2 transmissions.

Now some guidance please. I have seen posts in the past about fine tuning the DSP ADPT, ADG Gain and DAC gain. What would I hear when making changed to any of the values? Has someone provided any basic information on what these fields do and or how they interact with each other?

Search Google for Marks easier to read Radioshack pro 668 manual. These setting are different for everyone for many reasons , so you need to tweak and see if it helps or not.

The only way to know what will work best for your system -- unless you can find another local using a GRE800-type scanner to monitor the same things you are interested in, who has already gotten things dialed-in -- is to play around with the settings, do a little simple documentation, and find out what works best. That's why we call it "tweaking." Don't worry, you cannot mess up your scanner...returning to default settings will bring it back to where it is now. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, but your mileage definitely will vary.:wink:
