Does anyone have a list of these codes and what they mean? For example an officer will clear a call and ask radio to "make it a 4448" I seem to hear 8600 a lot as well. I haven't heard these codes used anywhere else in the county so I'm assuming they're exclusive only to LMPD?

I googled Lower Merion 8600 and found a PDF with LMPD Policy 3.11.2 and found this info...
4448...Field interview
4477...student incident
4449...use of force
8600...No report due

I've heard others which aren't listed in the PDF

Yeah, they have P25 talkgroups now on the Montco TRS:
16752 PD 10 Disp Police Region 10 Dispatch (Lower Merion, Narberth)*
16784 PD 10 Region Police Region 10 Secondary*

They'll be monitorable until all the police traffic is migrated to the new Phase 2 TRS where it will all be encrypted. Enjoy it for now, the clock is ticking.

The codes are used in the reporting system that the department utilizes. An 8600 means no report has to be written. There are a lot of codes for the system which cover almost anything that could happen. If it’s not covered by a specific code, then they use “4519” which is the code for general police services. When you hear them use multiple codes for the same incident, they are summarizing the incident with just the codes. For example, an incident with an intoxited student on the street would be coded 2300 (public intoxication), 4448 (field interview) and 4477 (student incident). This is useful when looking up incidents in the CAD and in the reporting system. The codes are also used to quickly create community reports and crime stats for a variety of uses.
