Anyone For Anyone Using The Rangecast/Wicked Local Scanner ?

Hello,

For anyone using the Rangecast / Wicked Local radio scanner APP.
Really neat, but have a few questions that I cannot figure out.

When I open the APP up, all the buttons are a very nice light Green.
If I do nothing, when there is a broadcast coming thru on any one of them, it turns Yellow.

Questions:

a. What is the significance of the button turning Grey when I click on it ?

b. How do I "lock" the scanner to listen to only a single channel ?

c. How do I select a few channels, only, to listen to ?

d. And what is the slider on the left that says "Channels Panel" for ?

One of the links to it mentions the buttons turning Red, and/or Orange, under certain circumstances.
I have never seen a Red or Orange button ?

Couldn't find any, but is there a "good" link explaining all of this ?

I've stayed away from it, unless something major is on-going and I am not near a Real scanner. seen many mis-labeled Freq/Channels and/or some running CSQ so you get more than one agency
