Kankakee Co to go ENC?

So I was listening to the 'Kankakee County Fire Ops' feed on Broadcastify today. In the description, I noticed the provider stating "In 2020, the 800 MHz system may become encrypted..." Can anyone corroborate this?

Wouldn't be surprised considering Cook and Will are also ENC

If your referring to the Will Co Sheriff P25 new system it is "NOT" Encrypted....

Yeah thank the guy who is streaming it. I dont know how many times I have to say it Police amd Fire do not like being rebroadcast on the internet for anyone to hear. Its why Cook County and Lake Countybare no longer monitorable and Mchenry County only had there Disp on the clear or why Elgin PD and Joliet are 100 % ENC its the streamers but dont tell them that, you may hurt someones feelings LOL

YUP, nothing to hear in Joliet anymore.....

They will most likely be moving to Starcom 21 they will not be using blanket encryption. They are still in the discussion planning stages.
