TRX-2: Loading Older Firmware

I have been having lots of problems with my TRX-2 receiving P25 systems ever since I sent in my unit to get repaired, and they replaced it with a newer unit.

The firmware on the one that I sent them was a much older version than what is on the new model they supplied me with, which worked flawlessly on P25 systems.

I just got off of the phone with Brian from Whistler, and he supplied me a utility to run to load version 4.3 onto the scanner. However, I cannot get the computer to recognize the scanner once I put the unit into "CPU Update Mode".

Has anybody ever used this utility? If so have you faced similar problems with it?

Sounds like you have a driver problem. Your PC is not connecting via USB to TRX-2. Hopefully someone can explain step by step how to fix the driver issue. I am trying to figure out myself.

Coolant113, did you download the latest versions on EZ Scan from the Whistler web site?

Reinstall the driver and if it is windows 8-10 make sure you do "Unsigned driver" Procedure. google it!
