This is another coverage enhancement project covering the extreme eastern edge of the county and Radnor Twp, Delco (greater Wayne area). It is on the air. Unlike the WCB Cell, the Wayne site seems to be only carrying traffic local to that area so far. I'll keep an eye on it.
Confirmed. I've been held on that site for a few hours now and only logged East PD & Tredyffrin PD car to car

I have also seen Tredyffrin PW and East Fire active on there...also lots of denials for units on Central Police and Central Fire and other municipal talkgroups. I've also seen denials for certain units on East Fire and East Police...probably just forcing those to affiliate to the East/Central simulcast.

FYI,
New TG 5475 just had several hits.
only one RID displayed 1154051
West Site
could be a new PW

Possibly the new county security group under DES? Safety and Security | Chester County, PA - Official Website
They provide second and third shift patrols of the GSC and other county buildings. I don't think they work first shift since the Sheriff's office and other personnel are on duty.

Let us know what you hear. I haven't caught anything.

Question about the Voice Channels on the system, when running unitrunker on the West Site, it comes back with all the freq listed on the DB site, does anyone know if the Alt CC channels listed are actually all alternate controls or if they are just the Voice channels and they got inputted to the DB incorrectly?

The DB is actually correct. They can and do switch periodically.

Channel 9-823: 771.56875-2 VOICE

Alternate control channels are frequencies that can act as the control channel if necessary, otherwise they can and often do act as traffic channels (traffic meaning voice and/or data, depending on the system capabilities). Only one frequency per site will act as the control channel at a time.

If you're running Unitrunker, the active control channel will be displayed in one color, and the alternate control channels in a different color. All channels displayed in white are traffic-only channels, not control capable.

Anyone know why the system ID would show up different from what is in the RRDB? I see a sys ID as Ah. The CC is 853.11250 and the NAC code is the same as in the DB East Central site. And the WACN is 92466. I'm wondering if I'm picking up another system that uses the same CC, but with the SDS200 in search mode it's getting the correct TGs and names.
Doylestown seems awfully far to be getting this system that is only supposed to have a 14 mile range.

Chester County Emergency Services P25 SYS ID: 92466-00A
Just a different way of displaying the same info 00A = Ah (just dropping the preceding 0's) the h just indicates a hex value is being displayed.
Who says the site only has a range 14 miles? That is the expected coverage range for users on the system, Not the extent of how far the CC carries in real life situations, governed by geography and tropo conditions.. Enjoy it while it last.. Bare in mind the incredible power of the radio your receiving it on as well.. :love:
Adding the WACN field to your display might clear the confusion...

WACN=92466
SYSID=Ah or 00A
NAC=Ah or 00A also...

Thanks for the info. I do have the WACN field active in the display. As for the range, I see what you mean. I was going by the range if you click on the site and it shows a circle of coverage. It is Chester Co. I'm hearing by locations that they are giving. I also get Phillys P25 system at times. I'm really impressed with this radio! I am enjoying hearing more than I got with my BCD536. And this is with the same antenna (RS discone 20 ft up with 75 ft of LMR400 cable).. Not that many bars of signal strength ( 1 or 2 ).

Awesome! Also if you come across a DMR or NXDN signal, remember SYS ID's appear in hex, the RRDB uses the dec equivalent. :)

I've been able to successfully listen to the east/central site from Tredyffrin, but never even attempted the west site. My RPi is at home right now, but if you want the trunk.tsv I can get it to you tomorrow (I know it's not what you asked for, though). Good luck.

Roy, I hate to move old threads, but do you happen to have the correct file for EAST CENTRAL? I'm having some problems picking it up?

Sorry about the late response. Let me see if I can get this for you.

[edit]
This is what I have:
Code:
"Sysname" "Control Channel List" "Offset" "NAC" "Modulation" "TGID Tags File" "Whitelist" "Blacklist" "Center Frequency"
"CHESTER_1"    "851.8625"    "0"    "0x000"    "CQPSK"    "chester.tsv"    "work.wlist"    ""

Do you want any other files? Note that these are a year old.

TG 1648 has popped up on the west site today, 8 hits were logged as of 2:30 PM, didn't catch any new RID's & wasn't recording, will try to catch more.
Anybody else seeing this one? A new PD? or County unit? :unsure:

Chesco did such a nice job setting up an organized system for talkgroup assignments. Based on what they already have out there, this would point to a West Marlborough Twp PD group. Are they getting their own PD? I guess keep an ear on it and see what chatter appears.

Was thinkin' the same, Will keep my ear to the ground ;)

A new local PD? That's uncommon, It's usually the other way 'round a merger or closure.

Since no new RID's were logged; I'm assuming an existing DES radio was in use, I'd imagine if it's really a new PD they'll have a new RID series start to appear when they turn them on.. 480xxyy (xx=10 mobile & 15 portable) :geek:
