Rgr Ron and as usual with every new type model delivery the same media squawking about it doesn't work
and is flawed etc.. Heard that with the C-5M,F-22,F-35 even the P-8A's.
Folks don't realize at times new designed aircraft or trains in my field always have
teething problems.. Engineers do decent job on paper designing but always engineering changes when it gets into real service.
Best way to solve those smaller problems is let the guys in the field get hold of them :)

Today logged C-17 #02-1101 RCH110 now a 911AW Pittsburgh ANG tail
off EB over the Atlantic 2300z after a McGuire stop 2030z. Looks like mission time for that newly established C-17 unit.
Was PITT50 back in late December like their old C-130 callsign.

Currently seeing 04-1778, 09-0525 and 166378 C-37s inbound to ADW from DOV. Separate planes for each family I suppose.
Rgr that and prob Pentagon Brass as well as you have Army,USAF and Navy tails there .

Unrelated yesterday logged ZZ665 RFR7135 RC-135W RAF into Norfolk NAS it seems.
Today went westbound towards Vegas assume for Red Flag 19-1 which starts Jan 26.
Some RAF and RAAF aircraft participating in this one. Should be some 6 squadron RAF Typhoons coming West for this soon.

Can anyone shed some light on what a GRND is, with reference to my post #45?
GRND short for Ground like a mode s Ground contact.
Not much info to go on with that mode s reading.Seems the online software was not reading it much
at all and scrambled and used GRND or aircraft mode s was malfunctioning Sometimes with little info the software gets quirky :)

A favorite tanker callsign for me tonight 1910 local time with McGuire Torch Ops 251.200 108Wg.
MOLSON-03 #63-8040 told destination changed again now to KSKA which is Fairchild AFB Spokane Wash.
Most US tankers in exercises with Canadian aircraft use that MOLSON callsign :)

Had unid mode s earlier today at 600feet then 400 feet over 8 minute span at 2005z
Assume chopper (AE185A) showing callsign R03740.
Thought maybe Boeing CH-47 that sometime do touch and go's at local airport.
I was not home at the time :(

I guess we no longer have anyone near Pax NAS that could pick up on the low level stuff? Seeing a slow and low-level unknown mode-s hex active down there today. AE5941 Yesterday and today are the only recorded flights.

1st FW MARLIN and TBOLT flights currently active. 315.85
