I just got a E-mail from someone who wants me to help with his BCT15X scanner. He lives in Marysville
my question is how well well the BC15X work with the Snohomish trunk system? well it work? I know it say both analog and P25
I told him I did not know if it would work or not,and weather or not it had to be re banded and maybe he should buy the 996P2
So would it work???

It's an analog SmartZone system, with the ability to do P25 Phase1 audio. Nearly all the digital audio is also encrypted, so just think of it as an analog SmartZone system.

Vizwar….. Are you referring to SERS (Snohomish Co Public Safety) being encrypted?

I get up to Sno Co fairly often and unless they encrypted within a week or so, I've been able to hear most traffic on the system

90% of the system's traffic is analog, but what is digital is also encrypted, so you can't monitor that anyway. As far as someone with a scanner is concerned, the system is analog SmartZone.

Yes sir...
More like 99.9% analog - basically every TG except:
45520 b1d DE RNTF RNTF - RNTF RNTF - Regional Narcotics Task Force
