A couple of days ago I heard a roll call on Viper TG SWCALL, they read off a list of all counties, including Eastern Branch Cherokees, for a radio check and repeated counties that did not respond the first time. While I missed most of the RIDs for counties called, as I caught the tail end, I was able to add several new confirmed counties to the VIPER P25 Radio IDs wiki page.

Just wondering if anyone knows if this is a scheduled roll call, and if so what is the schedule?

Regarding the Chambers Mountain site in Haywood County. I was just reviewing the license (WQSZ983). There is a pending application that will be adding two frequencies. 854.4375, and 856.1125. Unfortunately I am not close enough to receive the site reliably. I cannot get a control channel to see which frequencies are being used. I don't know when this change will take effect.

Monitoring Talk Group #52686 on Slocomb Tower not in data base sound like a search talking about media, and Helos enroute. This could be linked to the Wilson search for suspect in Trooper shooting

Tg #52686 was used for the first time during the Trooper involved shooting sounded Federal ????
I've not heard that TG before, and it wasn't being affliated with Raleigh area towers last night. As for being federal, while possible (and I'll leave that for others to comment on) other than when they are working on Viper Event/statewide TG's their TGs are usually in the 6xxxx range.

During the past week I've been doing some logging of the traffic heard and users on Viper. Here are the unidentified/Wildcard hits:

TG 51663, No RID logged, in NCDPS/DOC range
TG 52349, RID 2146425, in UNC range for both TG & RID
TG 52721, RID 2126199 (RID in radio tech range)
TG 60631, RID 2116777, 2116789, 2116792, 2116794, 2116797, & 2116907 (Both unidentified)
* Strange that state users were on what is normally a federal TG without any fed RIDs showing up. Been running into a lot of
law enforcement/surveillance activity for RIDs 21165xx to 2118xxx range but have not been able to confirm agency.

I have that TG logged as SBI. I haven't got any clear transmissions on that TG, but basing it on all the user logs affiliated with that TG being SBI labeled.

Some months ago I asked about a new VIPER tower located inside the intersection cloverleaf of NC98 and NC50, near Falls Lake. As far as I can tell, it is not yet broadcasting. Does anyone have an idea when it will go live?

That TG is in the range of Nash County, as are the Radio IDs, perhaps there is a Nash County unit in your area and it's being affliated on that tower. However, that looks like a new talkgroup. Good catch.

Question for the group: just saw several transmissions from the NCSHP where two TGs were displayed simultaneously. Never seen this before on any system. Is this a patch? Never seen a patch display like this though.

Ideas?

That is a multi-select. Each SHP Dispatcher has several districts that they are responsible for. In your example above you have one dispatcher responsible for (at least) Troop G Districts 2 & 3. The difference between a Multi-select and a patch?
Patch= All parties hear all radio traffic on all talkgroups patched together.
Multi-Select= Dispatcher hears all radio traffic from all TGs in Multi-Select and Dispatcher outbound radio traffic is heard across all talkgroups in Multi-select but the Districts only hear traffic for their respective District. Troop G Dist 2 hears only their radio traffic and Dist 3 only hears their radio traffic.
Patches and Multi-selects are indeed 2 very different ways of communication.
