Hello. I have a RODE Procaster microphone.. I purchased an 3-PIN XLR to RJ-45 cable with a PTT switch. The microphone is a Dynamic mic with an XLR connector ( Pin 1= GRND, pin 2 is 'positive', and pin 3 is 'negative' ). Does anyone know if my RODE mic will work with my FT-991A ?? Thank you.

I am sure it will. Hook it up and try it out. Let us know how it works.

If memory serves me, the mic input impedance to the 991 is 600 Ohms. The listed input impedance on the Rode web site is 320 Ohms. Someone here may have a handy little circuit that would match the impedances. You could try it and see if the mic would work, but thats a little less than half - 280 ohms - difference. Don't know, Good Luck.
BTW, it looks like a well made mic - from Australia.

Read what hams have to say about it on eHam.
