I have had a feed running for years on an old XP PC. Stereo feed worked great. I am moving the feed scanners to a hillltop location that I now have a wifi link to. I have a PI configured and running but can not get the stereo working properly. Both channels end up blending into on channel.

With this config it blends and I hear both scanners out of one speaker.....

device = plughw:1,0 # hw:0,0 then hw:1,0 then hw:2,0 etc
sampleRate = 22050
bitsPerSample = 16
channel = 2 # 1 for mono, 2 for stereo

[icecast2-0]

bitrateMode = cbr
format = mp3
bitrate = 16
quality = 0.5
channel = 1
lowpass = 4000
sampleRate = 22050

If I change the icecast channel setting to "2" (underlined and Italic) I get the stereo feed but the audio sounds horrible. The best way to describe it is the voices sound "warbly". Any assistance would be awsome.

Thanks!

If you image the SD Card for the pi with the most recent gui OS, Buster, then you can install darksnow. This is a gui for darkice which can simplify the setup. Go to Preferences/Add Software then search for darksnow.
