Hello,

New Uniden SDS 200.

The screen shot attached shows my local PD and FD. I would like to monitor and hear both.

The "e" after the P25 confuses me a bit ? What does it mean ?

If my Favorite List that I created has these two items, as well as a bunch of other items (Conv., etc.), should
the scanner stop on them (if a broadcast) and switch to these modes automatically ?

Anything special I have to do to hear them ?

Thanks,

P25‘e’ means that encryption is used in some capacity on that channel.

P25‘E’ means encryption is used full time on a channel.

It Means your probably not going to be able to listen to that channel. Unless it is used only part of the time? Some Supervisor Police cars only use Encryption. and other cars use regular traffic.

If you hover your cursor above the "Mode" in the column header it will explain the abbreviations used.
