Hey everyone!
I'm hoping to eliminate the in-between static on my feeds.
1) Oroville PD & Fire: Oroville Police and Fire Live Audio Feed
2) CHP Chico: California Highway Patrol - Chico Live Audio Feed
Feed #1 (OPD) is a digital handheld scanner. The quality is excellent, and it picks up the digital transmissions every time. However, there's a bit of a static, though hardly noticable unless you're wearing headphones. Feed #2 is my newest feed, and it's quite a bit more static. Feed #2 uses a Radioshack PRO-163.
Both setups use a RPI 3 with Wifi, both with a 5.0v 2.5A cell phone charger. Both use a 3.5mm mono cable (high def quality) from Amazon, and both use the recommended little blue plug and play soundcard from the setup guide.
While the audio from the units/dispatch is excellent in quality, the static noise between radio transmissions is quite intrusive.
What can I change regarding my setup to make this more clear?
Currently I have each feed's capture volume set to 6 (the lowest).
