I can confirm hearing 11443, 11444 and 11447 from Franklin County on CUMB04 and FRAN02, 11514 from Lebanon County on DAUP01, 11402 and 11405 on CUMB04 in Adams County, 11464, 11169 and 11171 from Dauphin County, 11163, 11164 and 11165 from Cumberland County on CUMB04. I have heard "Line Painting" on 11194 from both Lancaster and Dauphin Counties (wonder if it is a D8 wide TG ?). Hope this helps some. I know there isn't any exact science to figuring these out. I have not heard any Dauphin locations mentioned from 1.65 on 11194 (and on that one TG I've heard a lot) Everything was in Ephrata and to the South mostly eastern Lancaster Co locations, IDK, Will keep on keeping on..

I will have it parked on this system (Ellendale probably) so I can review TG hits to help nail down some TGs. DSD+ has its place in hunting down new systems but I believe this will really help with identifying the users on TGs.
I use both.
DSD+ does EVERYTHING a scanner does. Not sure why you'd think less of it as a tool (as far as figuring out who's talking to whom about what and where..) Blah, blah, blah You can record each call with TG & RIDS (with alias' if known) Just saying.. Look forward to hearing about what you find in Dauphin and the surrounds

I agree that DSD+ is very robust. It's an invaluable tool that gives you loads of info - I assume more than the SDS will give me. My dongles just have a really hard time with intermod/desense from Schuylkill Mobile Fone. In Luzerne county, I completely lost a Wayne Co CC while the pager system was TXing. Not nearly the issues here in Dauphin on 158.76 since it's quite a bit further from 152.180. I hear bad things about the sensitivity on the new SDS units but I'm hoping it'll be better than a $10 dongle.
My SDS100 will eventually need to be returned, as one of the earliest units purchased it seems to be getting worse with time (The old cold solder issue is my guess) It gets treated much more gingerly than any of the other radio's I have, But isn't supposed to be so fragile.. Sometimes it shows full -40 RSSI even when the antenna is disconnected, and it does it on everything, Yet receives nothing; And then sometimes shows 0 signal and yet still manages to pass some audio.. Jiggling the antenna on top of the unit usually returns it to normal (for now) Not looking forward to being without it for a month (No it was never dropped)

Line painting is one of the operations based at the District HQ (district wide) level. I believe the bridge inspection ops are the same way...based at the HQ level for the district.
For PennDOT, there are 70 maintenance district facilities (main and satellites), 11 engineering district offices, 412 stockpile locations (at least 260 of which have buildings on site where there could be a small office). Add in the other miscellaneous stuff like line painting and statewides and that's gonna be a lotta talkgroups the way we're going so far.
They may be expanding from the 11xxx to 134xx series TG's as well, we'll see..
For whatever it's worth to whoever cares, the PSP dispatch consoles are officially aliased as A, B, C not 1, 2, 3.

11514 talked about stockpile 5 today on the Ellendle VHF site. Not sure which district they are though.
TG 1 lit up today with Wayne talking about seeing helicopters coming down but his compadre saying there are no helicopters coming down on his end. I assumed they were radio techs until I heard them using unit numbers (22 and 790A or 798).

Someone needs to wrap some detcord around those 152.180 transmitters and blow them to kingdom come. Absolutely awful, they s%#t up the entire lower VHF band when they kick on.

152.180 has been around for my entire life so I just grew up assuming my radios were never any good because I could hear paging on frequencies I wasn't supposed to. But then I did some research and found the FCC letters against SMF and realized it was them, not me. The same guy who knowingly pollutes the airwaves also has no problem encrypting an entire county that is almost 100% volunteer...surprise surprise.

Lebanon makes sense if you heard it on Truce. If I recall the Wiki page correctly, there is no stockpile 5 in Dauco.
