Does anyone in the Thurston county or pierce county area know if the Capital peak site is down for maintenance? I’m not getting any WSP/wspdot traffic on the Capital peak site. Which I have been hearing traffic 24/7. Just noticed last night no traffic and none today.

OK...!!!

It's not just me.
Gold JWIN is dead quiet today.

My WSP 700 is crickets.
Not a peep on conventional either.

I was rebooting radios today.
Searching for new RFI.

Nice to know something is up......

well thank you for the reply. And no, not just you. I ended up programming the other frequencies. I live clear down by Cowlitz/Lewis County line and have been monitoring Capital peak from my place crystal clear for sometime now. Although, this did happen about 2 years or so ago. And it popped back up one day.

Still hearing Olympia on VHF. I temporarily added it to the scan list on the BCFY WSP D1 feed. I live in Eatonville so I presume I'm hearing off Cap Pk. Mainly only hearing Dispatch so also presume it's not repeated audio.

you would be hearing it off the nearest site to you if you live in eatonville. You are probably hearing traffic on Indian hill reservoir. Tacoma Simulcast.I just asked someone I know who lives in tacoma and they are not hearing any traffic on Capital Pk.

This might have something to do with it.

WSP has been dead on JIWN Selah site here in Yakima for the last 36 hours.
Hope the cut-over will restore WSP traffic.

This is the latest status report on the Land Mobile Radio System Upgrade Project with WSP and FBI.

As indicated in the latest Land Mobile Radio System Upgrade Project staus report they are in the switch-over and testing phase.
During the middle of the night, the Selah JIWN site logged a number of new talkgroup traffic.

@ScanYak Probably why you’re getting all that traffic on the Selah site “The cutover process will last approximately 1 ½ weeks. During that time, a cutover headquarters operation will operate out of the Yakima headquarters, with staff onsite at each district and the Quincy Data Center.”

From the Land Mobile Radio System Upgrade Project status summary.

I'm getting traffic again from Gold....
(Been quiet for days)

Since the 'silence period' over the past couple of days, I'm now hearing D2 traffic on Gold.

Note: I'm hearing Gold primarily because of my location and line-of sight.
Gunnysack and Cougar are closer, but behind hills where I am at.

curious to know why Scanyak is logging TGIDs from District 5? Down here I don't hear other District traffic. Granted I hear a bunch of IWN sites all over Portland, Skamania, and the Green Mtn. site, but not other districts. Kind of odd since I hear Oregon Radio Project's sites all over.

@vansigint98661 probably because the main “cutover headquarters” which is happening now is in Yakima. Theres techs on duty at each of the 8 district headquarters that they’re communicating with to coordinate the cutover. Lots of different people affiliating to a lot of different talkgroups.
