While packing to move, I unboxed a FT-7200, my first amateur radio base unit. I noticed that, apparently' the lcd display has become un-laminated. There are black bars top right and lower right, the rest of the display looks like my 7400. Are there any shops still fixing these or do I just trash it. I was thinking about making it a packet transceiver. I have not powered it up as I remember the display lights went out and it needs a memory battery, both I can get. I have already replaced the battery in the 7400. Oddly, I still have the boxes and all accessories. It went to storage when I bought a new Maxtrac so I could also program CAP frequencies.
