Town of Carlstadt, Bergen Co. NJ was issued a license for a new UHF Freq for their PD.
WRHV378 453.6375 (458.6375 Input). Licensed Emission is only NFM

Currently they are P25 on 501.5625 NAC 167 WIM835. However this allocation expires 3/2021.
Is the new frequency an additional channel or a future switch to?

Thanks

That's what I figured when i was reading the license data. I Have the frequency programmed for P25 & Analog "Search" for PL/DPL and have been monitoring the same but as of yet, no activity. Posted here to have a few more "ears" listen in and perhaps catch something.

Is it true that the FCC is not renewing any existing T-Band licenses in the NYC area?
The FCC froze T-Band renewals nationwide in Dec 2019 in preparation for the auction of the band. Previously they had frozen T-Band "significant modifications and new licenses" just after the legislation passed back in the Spring of 2012, although there has been plenty of exceptions to that rule if a compelling enough waiver were granted.

In any event, the bottom line is that the T-Band auction is still on the books as law, until and unless Congress repeals it.
