SDS100/SDS200: SDS100 Can't Press Down On Volume Knob

On my SDS100 I can't press down on the knob to change the volume level anymore. It worked fine for a few months but now it feels like it's stuck, it doesn't "click" like it used to. Scrolling left/right works fine but pressing it down to select/change the volume doesn't work. Is there a way to remove the knob to check it, or should I just send it in for repair?

You can pull straight up on knob to remove it. There isn't enough clearance there to push down, in my opinion.

Thanks for the info. I was able to remove the knob and it works like it should without the knob being on there. Seems like the plastic knob is the problem.

You can get a replacement knob here --> Uniden Scanner Accessories that I believe has a little more clearance. Keep your factory one as a backup.

Just try shimming the knob so it stays further up on the shaft and gives you adequate clearance to push down.

Thanks for the idea. That seems to be working. Glad I don't have to send it in for repair.
