Hey all i am receiving 3 unknown talk groups on the Lexington county simulcast, Harbison, Richland county simulcast sites. They are 27801, 28242, 28243. The 28242 and 28243 have been discussed in a previous thread but not identified.

27801 = Heard 2 males talking about dropping off boxes as well as "144 to 210"

27827 = This talkgroup is identified as "800MHZ DISPATCH" in the database for the Forestry Commission. I put this talkgroup in my scanner and got a little traffic. It sounded like Forestry Law Enforcement. I believe it could be Forestry Law Enforcement because a unit keyed up and said what sounded like "PD unit XXX i'll be clear". I also believe this could be a statewide talkgroup. So im between "Forestry Law Enforcement" and "Forestry Statewide"

The below 282XX series talkgroups are in the Federal talkgroup range so they are unknown federal talkgroups

28242 = Narcotics related surveillance
28243 = Narcotics related surveillance

Just got some more traffic on 27801.

A male said "212 i'll be on my way to the front desk"
"161 to command center"
"Copy on OPS"
"Thank you baby Jesus"
"God Speed"

Still unable to identify.

Good work on identifying unknown talkgroups. We need more of this.

The RadioReference WiKi is the designated place for unidentified information. Feel free to add information there, and link to it in this thread. Or just leave it in this thread. That works too.

I think it's reasonble to believe that 27827 is SC Forestry, but don't know the official specific use of it.

And as noted282xx is likely the range for Federal Agencies. No telling who it could be, and if there are really designated uses for talkgroups in this range. I'm surprised you heard anything that wasn't encrypted.

Thanks Brian for now i will just keep the info here.

Im still receiving random comms on 27801. Does anybody know what agency would be using these types of comms.

Just Heard

"I'll be in the camera room"
"I'll be out at north cpd"

I'm wondering what the SC Forestry talkgroup is for. I have a buddy that works for them as law enforcement for my region. They don't use any pallmetto 800. All their comms are on the vhf channels listed, for both fire and law.

The only forestry frequency I have received (and knew what it was) is the plow frequency on VHF and it is located on the Pal 800 tower on Hwy 23 right outside of Johnston. I say plow because that is all I have ever heard dispatched on it. Its close to 700 feet in the air so it has a large footprint. 159.405 MHz.

The 27801 talkgroup was identified as SC Dept. Of Revenue by myself and the SC database admin Evan

It was submitted that the Moncks Corner site is off the air. All Berkeley Co traffic now on the simulcast site. It was removed from the DB based on this submission.

Thanks for the info. I wonder what will be done with the License/Frequencies for the Moncks Corner site. I also wonder if the same is planned for the Russellville site.

*Repost from TRBOMAX Sites thread to be in proper Palmetto 800 thread*

Palmetto 800 is putting up a new Blackstock site in Fairfield county but since the license was just issued on 1/13/2020 the site may not even be active yet. it's co located with the online TRBOMAX Blackstock site. The FCC license is WREZ900 and was issued this year on 1/13/2020. It's 700mhz like the Lancaster county simulcast site with 7 frequencies. I'm not in the area can someone please verify this site and submit to the database. Frequencies include = 772.20625, 772.21875, 772.74375, 773.45625, 773.46875, 773.96875, 774.89375 . When I drove by the area on the 16th I heard nothing on the listed frequencies so it appears the site is not active yet.

Russellville has been offline for months now - the site is now part of the simulcast.

Not sure if the DB reflects this.

You should make a submission with this info. Russellville is still listed as site (1) 047 (2F). Are the 800 frequencies from the Russellville and Moncks Corner sites also apart of the simulcast as currently only 700 frequencies are listed for the (Berkeley County Simulcast).

Simulcast is 700 only.
