Summit county ohio private channels

I keep hearing dispatch or police cars requesting they go to the private channel. Where do l find these private channels they are talking about in the data base. Any one have any Idea?

I did here Macedonia Police on a channel 6 which I believe is 423.2550.

There is like one or two PD who call their channel 2 private. It’s in the RRDB with the word private. Macedonia is more often telling people to go to “814” which are the numbers from the FCC license assigned to their VHF used by the service department. It’s a VHF simplex so if you’re not near the transmitting radio you may not hear the discussion, or just part of it.

Macedonia service will be moving to the existing PD channel 1 when MPD and MFD move to 800mhz. SHPD is already operating on the inevitable MOD primary dispatch TG. Presumably they’ll have a channel 2 on 800 and stop using 420mhz entirely.
