Be mindful of what is posted in this thread. Eleven Edmonton posts have been moved to a proper thread.

Please add pertinent new information on the provincial system only here.

What's generally the norm for naming new TGID's when the "channel name" isn't actually broadcasted?
TGID's: 2067, 2068 & 2072 are definitely ETS LRT communications, so following the existing ID's that would make them "ETS LTR OPS 06, ETS LTR OPS 07 & ETS LTR OPS 11. 2068 has both LRT and bus operations on the same channel.
2174 is snow clearing so again following the existing that would make it "Winter Roads 74."

Also, would a list of 442 unidentified TGID's be of any use to anyone?

In a way yes, thank you. Currently I'm at 814 identified out of 1272 TGID's.

I've been getting TGID 2 & 18, I assume that those would be an administrative or testing TG? (from DSDPlus) So I figure it's trustworthy.

Edit: Anyone know what the "emission mode" or "emission designator" would be for AFRRCS? I don't really understand how to figure that out. To me it would be 12K5_ _ _? But reading different google searches it might be 9k50_ _ _ .

8K10xxx I believe for everything except the Edmonton simulcast. The Edmonton simulcast is likely 9K70xxx or 9K80xxx depending on the exact waveform.

I'm seeing evidence on trunk decoder logs that 4239 is a dispatch talkgroup for Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo FD.

Anybody care to speculate that 4237 (which we already have in the DB) is Fort McMurray FD Dispatch, and 4237-42?? are dispatch channels for some of the other municipal/volunteer/commercial FDs in the region?

What I have is:
4236 Ft Mac Reg Emerg Svs 1
4237 2
4238 3
4239 4
4240 5

I could hear them in Edmonton while they were setting up. Just when I was getting ready to figure out the system they were gone.

Not sure if this is of any interest to anyone or how exactly one determines a correct Control and Secondary Control channel, but I'll share what DSDplus has auto-populated as "P25Data." I find it interesting that it has labeled some CC & SCC differently for some sites, it has also added frequencies to the Edmonton Simulcast site, and what I believe are OTA channel Numbers.

""MHzDecimalPad = 0 ; controls how DSD+ formats all channel frequencies; range = 0 to 6

Is that who that was? I did see Claresholm light up and SAOCC (in the clear ;)) and then a moment later the patch group came active.

You suggesting 286 is F+W? I thought they were in the 400s.
