There are two P25 systems listed as Washington County, one is "WCN", the other is Washington County Consolidated Communications Agency (WCCCA). Is the second system currently active, and will the new WCN merge with the current WCCCA?

The two site WCCCA system is active but I don't know if it will be merged or not. There are sites on South Saddle Mountain and Goat Mountain on each system. I've only heard a few talkgroups on the WCCCA P25 system over the last couple of years.

Saw these while looking at Site 1.7 Clackamas County Simulcast A 858.6875

Neighbor Sites:

Site 1.8 859.0375 (Can't receive from southeast Hillsboro)
Site 1.11 857.1125 (Can't receive from southeast Hillsboro)
Site l.12 859.6875 Goat Mtn

I'm guessing the two unidentified sites are on the Clackamas Co portion if someone wanted to give them a try.

Rumor has it that they are supposed to start patching the current WCCCA talkgroups over to the new system shortly.

We'll see...

Should we start writing an apatath to the old network? It's served for so long and worked so hard. It truly will be missed. Honestly it's the techs that made the soon to be old network function so well. P25 phase 2 here we come. Buckle up for saftey, please keep your hands inside and rember to pack your patience.

A apatath to the old system is needed. And to any radio techs that kept that network going last 20 years, thank you. It well be missed. Its sad to know that we well no longer hear LE.

Counting down to December 8 - Watching the system with PRO96COM, I'm seeing a ton of new radio affiliations and testing on TG 34154, all encrypted. But I have heard some clear voice on some other talk groups, so everything is not locked down just yet.

That is just the encrypted test TG all agencies have been asked to use for now. I believe the system has now more TG turned on so you all hear more. Fire is not going encrypted and the PD side is still in discussions about it. All TG will be streamed by WCCCA though but with a delay.

I like that, to keep the positive public relation is to offer an official delayed feed. Kudos to WCCCA.
